Storyboard Text

  • Daedalus and his son, Icarus, were prisoners of King Minos on Crete.
  • One day Daedelus had an idea to escape the island...
  • The idea was to make wings from the feathers and wax that they got from King Minos. They could then use the wings to fly back to Athens.
  • They made the wings out of the feathers and wax. Then they flew around them for a little bit before they finally set out to sea. Daedalus gave one piece of advice to Icarus which was to not go too high or too low or else your wings will fall apart.
  • Then they both started to fly out to sea. Icarus had so much fun flying he completely forgot about what his father told him. He went too high and the sun melted his wings.
  • Icarus died all because he did not listen to his father. The moral of the story is that you should always listen to your parents because they probably know what's best. Daedulus then makes it to Sicily but without his son
