- "I don't want to go to school."
- "Hi do you want to come sit with us?"

- Ruby is talking to her mum. She is very nervous about going to school as she does not know anyone.
- "What is wrong with your face?"
- Ruby has just joined the school. She has just had some lessons and now its lunch time. She is sitting in the canteen on her own when a girl and a boy come up to her and ask her if she wants to go sit with them and their friends.
- Ruby agreed to go sit with them as she did not want to look like she was lonely.
- Someone at the table asked about what was wrong with her face. She said about her deformity and everyone started laughing. She started to burst into tears and ran off. Mrs Smith, her form tutor was on duty and saw this but did not think anything of it. absolute
- Ruby missed 2 lessons and went home. She did not even talk to her mum. She went straight on her phone and saw something on the boy's instagram Jake. She looked on his posts and saw a picture of her with comments like #ugly,#she is hideous!
- The next day, Mrs Smith came up to her and asked whats wrong. Ruby told her and she immediately went to find Jake.
