  • The Proclamation Line of 1763 was a British-produced boundary marked in the Appalachian Mountains at the Eastern Continental Divide.

  • The Sugar Act was designed to regulate commerce and trade especially in the New England region. The Stamp Act was the first direct tax on domestically produced and consumed items.

  • The colonists got mad and protested to make the British stoptaxing them so high.

  • The Townshend Acts were a series of measures, passed by the British Parliament in 1767, that taxed goods imported to the American colonies. But American colonists, who had no representation in Parliament, saw the Acts as an abuse of power.
