- The battle of Saratoga
- During the American Revolutionary War, the people were separated in to 2 groups. The Loyalists and the Patriots. The loyalists supported the British while the Patriots supported Independence. The Patriots decided to send a petition requesting Peace. The King refused and soon after sent the British Navy to block the Americans ships from ever leaving the ports.
- The battle of Yorktown
- Common Sense was written by Thomas Paine. The book common sense was written with the idea of having a complete break from Britain in mind since most Americans didn't want to have a complete break from Britain.

- The Americans finally managed to defeat the British and was therefore named the battle of Saratoga. France heard of the battle and the struggle that the Americans were going through to try and obtain independence. France decided to help Americans in their struggle and also managed to convince Spain to also help the Americans.

- WE WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO GOVERN THE WAY WE WANT!
- The Americans defeated the British and was therefore named the battle of Yorktown. In order to show that the British were truly defeated they would give the Americans their guns and from there and on it was the last battle.
- The treaty of Paris officially ended the Revolutionary War and finally declared the Americans as independent. The British still do not accept Americans s their equal but the treaty was still signed.

- After the war finally ended and the Treaty of Paris was signed the Americans finally gained their Independence. They could finally govern over their own people or choose which way they wanted to govern.
