  • This is what Rome looked like. It is a peninsula . It had water on three sides and it had lots of mountains. Rome is located in Italy and it stated it 700 B.C.E. and ended in 476 B.C.E.
  • Influence of Sports
  • There was a princess that gave birth to twins. The king ordered them to be killed so someone sent them down the river. In hopes they would drown. But a she wolf saved then and raised then as her own then they get took to a human family and they became rulers. But Romulus killed his brother Remus and named it Rome.
  • Influence of Architecture
  • Rome used the style of columns and the archways to build the Colosseum . This is where they held lots of their fights. They also became excellent builders and learned how to make drains and they were even better than the Etruscan's.
  • Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion
  • 
  • They would fight for funerals and did chariot races. They would have to fight until one person was dead and then the winner was executed.
  • They used columns and arches to build many of their buildings. They also built marble temples to honor gods. They built the collessum and the Circus Maximus, where people watched chariot races, this could seat more than 200,000 spectators.
  • They kept the gods the same but they changed them to have different names. They also used the same alphabet and wrote in all capitals. They also were inspired by myths and poetry. They also liked the pottery and the paintings that the Greeks did.
