- Bear and Crispin found men with some armor on them. This is a good example of how the armor was back in the day. The English had light armor which was an advantage because they could move better in the thin armor. The French had thick armor which did protect them but they really counldn't move.
- Crime and punishment
- Where Bear and Crispin met was an abandoned town. This was because of the black death. This whole town was killed by the plague. this was called the black death because people would get black stops on their body before they would die.
- 100 years war
- Their homes were quite small and they could be up to four stories high. They were rat infested. The rich and poor people lived in different homes. Bear and Cripsin right now are in a tavern room. It is quite like a poor home, it was run down and smelt of bad ale.
- Joan of Arc
- Some people would be thrown deep into a well. If your were to float instead of drowning your were guilty. This was because the water was rejecting you . For people that did lesser crimes you might have been fined or put in the stocks. So Bear and Crispin had witnessed this.
- This war went on from 1337 to 1453. France and England fought to control the lands in France. The English won first because they had lomng bows and thinner armor. Bear and Crispin found many men that had fought in the war.
- Joan of Arc was a 17 year old girl that helped led France to victory. She helped the French relize that they need to stand for what they believed in. She was eventually burned at the steaks becase they thought she was lying about hearing voices.
