  • Newton's First LAW of Motion
  • OMG my car CRASHED! Why didn't my body hit my dashboard?
  • According to Newton's first LAW my body should've kept moving forward!
  • Newtons first law States: An object in motion stays in motion, and an object at rest stays at rest unless and unbalanced force acts upon it
  • My seatbelt helped prevent my body from moving forward. It worked as an unbalanced force stopping my body's inertia. Newton's first law saved me!
  • Newton's Second Law of Motion
  • Well, the bigger box is filled with bricks, while the other box only has some paper. Perhaps that had something to do with how fast the box can go when I push them.
  • Hmm.. I'm pushing these two boxes with the same amount of force, but the bigger one is moving slower than the smaller box!
  • Newton's Second Law States: that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables - the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object.
  • AHA! Based on Newton's Second Law, The speed and direction of the boxes depends on the amount of force I use to push it and the mass of the box! So, since the smaller box only has paper, it is faster when I push it rather than the bigger box.
  • Newton's Third LAW
  • WOW! How is the rocket able to get of the ground into space?
  • Since, the rocket is pushing down using it's flames, the aftermath is the ground pushing the rocket upwards! This is called action, and reaction!
  • Newton's Third Law states: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
