- Kate! Can you come with me for a sec? You too, Lila, dear. Your hair needs to be braided!
- Your father and I decided to adopt a child! And she's Lila's age! Her name is Justine, and she's the most adorable, sweet, polite kid.
- That's great! Now Lila will have a kid her age to play with! I'm setting off for college soon, and I don't know how she'll react to that once she finds out. She's a smart kid. She'll figure it out eventually. But with Justine with her, she won't be as sad!
- WHAT?! Who is this Justine girl?! Why are mom and dad belittling her?! Mom wants to braid her hair?! She does that with me! Mom wants to call her sunset?! She calls me that! Oh. My. K-Kate wants to share my costumes without asking me. *Breathes heavily* I need some air.
- Wanna play dress-up with Lila's costume chest? I'm sure she won't mind!
- You know, sunset-can I call you sunset?-I'll always love you and don't be afraid to call me your Mommy. Don't be afraid to ask for anything. It must have been so hard for you at the orphanage, so Daddy and Mommy will work hard to get you what you want! And I will braid your hair! It looks messy, like Lila's when she wakes up!

- One bright, Saturday morning, Kate Wilson heads to her little sister's room. Lila jumps on the bed, jumps off, and insists that Kate stay and play. Kate laughs and agrees. A few minutes later, their mom walks in and asks the girls to come down. After Lila's hair is braided and she goes back to her room, Kate and her mom stay downstairs for a private chat.

- *nods shakily* YES! She doesn't let my parents or Kate read the newspaper or watch Channel 6 because it "reminds her of when her parents died". I'm pretty sure that she ran away from her parents with their money.
- -Who your parents adopted?
- LILA! WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO YOU?! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY-Wait. The news. I remember. I watched it earlier! I'm sorry, sunset, I know you didn't want me to-YOU were the main story! You robbed more people, Justine!I can't believe you!
- Kate's mom and dad are adopting a kid! She's sweet and cute. Her name is Justine, and Kate and her mom are thrilled for Lila, because once Kate goes to college, Lila will be lonely. But with Justine by her side, she won't be as sad!
- Haha! Just as I suspected. Little Miss Crybaby will try to appeal to her parents. It won't work. Her parents and sister are my parents and sister now!
- Sweetheart, are you okay? What's the matter?
- The next day, everyone comes outside to welcome Justine. They sit on the swing and immediately start adoring her. Lila isn't as pleased as everyone thought she would be. No one but her notices the evil smirk on Justine's face. She points this out to her family, but is surprisingly, ignored! She storms off to her friend's treehouse to clear her head.
- Don't struggle, you arrogant little demon! I'm going to hold you here until the police get here! Then you'll-
- Listen, Lila? I'm sorry...about everything. I should have believed you, I should have-
- It's okay, Kate. Just don't do it again, and don't beat yourself up about it. It makes me and you feel bad.
- 911? Yes, THANK YOU! We've adopted a thief! Please pick her up immediately!
- In the treehouse, there is a purple mirror and a large chest full of costumes, identical to Lila's. Everyone is having fun except Lila, who sulks in a corner. Arianna, whose favorite color is pink, and Brianna, whose favorite color is blue, the twins, both put their hair up in buns. Charlotte, the tomboy, and Ava, the older one, are the sisters who own the treehouse, and they exchanged caps and flowers. Then, Lila suddenly bursts into tears. Everyone gathers around her and try to comfort her.
- The next morning, Lila is awoken by loud chatter. She storms downstairs, already in a bad mood, and gasps when she sees her mom, Kate, and JUSTINE sitting on the couch with their hair up in blue towels. Lila instantly recognized that these towels were from Spaceful Beauty, her absolute favorite spa. Her mom took Kate and Justine without her! She burst into tears on her dad's lap, knowing that he will immediately try to comfort her.
- NO!!! Dad, Justine is taking over my life! You guys don't even look at me anymore, it's always about poor JUSTINE! Mom and Kate even went to the spa with her without me! She doesn't want you to watch the news because then you'll know that she's a CRIMINAL!!
- Kate and her mom and dad realized that Lila was telling the truth and that they had adopted a criminal! Lila's dad called the police while Lila's mom reached for the escaping Justine and stopped her. The moment the police drove Justine away, the family understood that Justine was breaking them apart, and without her, they would be more happy.
- Learn my lesson? HA! Don't count on it, lady! As soon as I get out, I'll be back! THAT you can count on!
