- Harrapan/ Indus Valley CivilizationIt developed in northwestern part of Indian subcontinent about 4700 years ago (2700-2500 BCE).It developed near to the River 'Tigris'.It's called Harappan Civilization because it was first found on 1921 in Harappa, Pakistan.It covered Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan of the modern day Pakistan. In India it covered Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
