- According to Scientific American, homeostasis is a process that living things use to actively maintain fairly stable conditions necessary for survival.
- Then, can you give me one example of homeostasis?
- Um... Human's internal body temperature.
- What made you think so?
- Whether summer or winter, the internal temperature of our bodies remains similar.
- When I feel cold, I wear extra clothes andwhen I feel hot, I take off my clothes.
- Also, when I am shivering in the cold or sweating in the summer, it is my body trying to maintain homeostasis.
