- Athene was a young goddess in Ancient Greek times. She lived on mount Olympus with her father Zeus and her many siblings. Her father gave her a bow and arrow for her birthday because she said she wanted to be a warrior. One day she was playing with it and a bird flew in her window and scared her so she tried to shoot it but missed and accidentally shot her best friend paras. After that she vowed to stop all violence in honor of her dead friend.

- Many years later, a huge war broke out on earth, it seemed every person on earth was at each others throats. Athene begged her father to let her go and train to stop the war and Zeus said, Alright but I'm sending Ares with you., Oh alright, thank you father. And she went away along with her brother Ares to become warriors.
- ENOUGH!!!!
- While they were training, Ares would always make fun of Athene even though she would beat him in everything. Look how she fails! he would yell, She cant even life her bow without killing someone!. She ignored him and before she knew it, it was time to go down to earth to stop the fight but while they were there, the people turned on the gods saying, This is our war and you are interfering!
- Good. I will change the water back, but remember your promise.
- WE PROMISE!!!
- It turned into gods against humans and their were a lot more humans then gods. Before she knew it,she was the only god left standing after Ares had been badly injured. She was trying to think of what to do when all of the people attacked all at once. She ran away and took refuge in a nearby mountain cave. She stayed their for many weeks and would occasionally peek her head out and always saw the same thing. The people were fighting and trying to get her down from the cave.
- After weeks of living like this she couldnt take it anymore. She waited until the night and snuck down the mountain to steal and hide their weapons. As she made her way down the mountain, the smell of fresh blood stung her nose. She had to ignore the stench and started taking all the peoples weapons. However, just as she finished, the people ambushed her. When she finally got them off she transformed herself into an ice block and froze all the water on earth.
- After she froze the water, the people started to thirst and begged her to change the water back. Only on one condition.she said, Anything! the people yelled. You will never rebel against the gods again! she said. We promise! they yelled back. So she changed all the water back but left some frozen as a reminder, and ascended to mount Olympus. Since then the people have kept their promise and look on the ice bergs as a reminder to get along.
