Storyboard Text
Hi, I'm Sir Butler. I am a knight in the European Middle Ages. I am going to tell you about the mythical creature, The Dragon.
Dragons also breathe fire and are also known as the ultimate evil!
Dragons in European Folktale are almost always hostile to humanity, except in Welsh and Bulgarian culture.
Dragons are four-legged, winged, with a fire-breathing mouth that Medieval people said came from the mouth of Hell.
The entrance to Hell was often shown pictured a as monster's mouth in Medieval artwork.
One researcher notes that Dragon legends appear in almost all cultures because humans are universally afraid of snake-like creatures.
Dragons also have a liking to hoard gold and other treasures in a cave called a Dragon's lair.
