- For this problem the first step is to use distributive property and multiply the numbers in the parenthesis by -4.
- 28-7x < -4(-7x-7) 28-7x < 28x-28
- After that you are going to add 7 to the variables of x
- 28-7x < -4(-7x-7) 28-7x < 28x-28 +7x +7x 28 < 35x+28
- Next you need to subtract 28 from both sides underneath each constant number
- 28-7x < -4(-7x-7) 28-7x < 28x-28 +7x +7x 28 < 35x+28 -28 -28 0 < 35x
- Last you need to divide the two remaining numbers by 35
- 28-7x < -4(-7x-7) 28-7x < 28x-28 +7x +7x 28 < 35x+28 -28 -28 0 < 35 0/35=0 35x/35=x
- Therefore, X=0 !!! Yay! we're done.
