Odysseus pretends to be crazy so he doesn't need to leave his family and go to war however he quits claiming to be crazy because people tossed his child in front a plow.

The Trojan War happened. How the Greeks won the Trojan war is by the Trojan horse. Which is a giant wooden horse that they hid inside to get in the city walls. They won by going in the city and attacking. Odysses is the one who cam up with the idea of the horse. During the war he became a very skilled fighter which could prepare him for up coming "test" that he would face.

They land on an island to try to find food but, they don't know if its filled with cyclopes. Ulysses tricks the cyclops, blinds him, and comes up with an escape plan. The light in the cave represents the hope that men won't starve and the cyclops' red eye represents blood, violence, death, and rage.

They were on they're way to another island. But to get there they had to pass through a strait. There were 2 sisters. Ulysses covered his crew's ears with wax to prevent them from hearing the siren sisters voice. Ulysses tied himself up so he could hear their voices and not wreck the ship. He hears water, trees, milk, fire and his heartbeat. The water, trees, and milk represent the garden setting. While the fire and beat of his heart represents the wasteland setting.

Ulysses had to go to battle against the suitors as part of his quest. If he wanted to get home the red in his outfit represents blood.

Ulyesses return is about getting united with his wife.
