"Morella" (1835)- An exploration of themes of death, identity, and reincarnation as a man grapples with he memory of his deceased wife. "Lionizing" (1835)- A satirical story that humorously criticizes the publics obsession with fame and celebrity. "William Wilson" (1839)- A tale of a man tormented by his doppelganger, leading to a life of sin and despair.

"The man of the crowd" (1940"- A `narrative that delves into urban life and the enigmatic figure of an old man wandering the streets.
