- Allowing oneself to be vulnerable knowing that a loved one will attend to one's neediness
- Rejection, break up, hurting, failure
- Suffering due to our vulnerability
- My character is a girl named Khai. In this scene we can see her with her boyfriend. She is in a relationship and showing her vulnerability is a part of her every day life. She is used to her boyfriend attending to her neediness and is comfortable exposing herself since she trusts him.
- Mourning
- Khai's boyfriend is breaking up with her. At this point, Khai believes that her neediness and vulnerability have made her unlovable. She feels as if her boyfriend broke up with her because he could not take her neediness anymore, she feel betrayed, rejected, like a failure.
- Allowing ourselves to embrace and expose our vulnerability in front of others
- Khai is not comfortable sharing her vulnerability since she believes that it is the cause of her brake up. She feels less valuable and doesn't trust anyone at this point. She is wondering whether she would still be in a relationship is she showed more independence and if she was able to control her life better. She's mourning.
- Putting ourselves in the mercy of other's actions and putting ourselves "out there" again
- Khai is still mourning. She is scared to show her vulnerability to anyone. However, her mom convinced her to give a chance to her friends to be there for her. She believes that her friends are going to attend better to her vulnerability and be there for her to ensure her that her feelings are valid and that she is allowed to be vulnerable. She hopes that Khai will be able to create new relationships.
- Khai is slowly starting to realize that she was able to experience some beautiful things because of her vulnerability. In order to experience them again, she knows that she has to get "out there". She is on the dance floor with her friends and meets a guy she is interested in. She is a little scared given her previous experience but is realizing that vulnerability is a part of her.
- Khai is on a date! Is is putting herself in the mercy of the other's actions and trusting that her vulnerability will continue to be her strength. She feels stronger and doesn't feel the complex to not be needy.
