Billy was looking for a place to stay for the night in Bath. He just moved to this city and knows nobody. Billy needs a cheap and cozy place.
CLIMAX
Billy then asks an old man his recommendation to stay which was The Bell and Dragon. During his way to the Bell and Dragon, he sees a cozy bed and breakfast and decides to stay there. He is greeted by a middle aged woman who gave him a strangely low price to stay for the night.
FALLING ACTION
The lady helps him get settled in and is very kind and flirty. She would compliment every single thing about Billy from his face to his body. She then tells Billy to sign the guestbook while she goes and makes some tea.
SOLUTION
Billy noticed that the Lady owns a dog and a parrot. The lady informs Billy that she stuffs her animals when they pass away. Instead of running away, Billy admires her work and compliments her for doing such a great job.
Billy then notices that before him, two other familiar names are before him on the list. He notices the name and he assumes that he read it in a newspaper or a report. Billy then asks the lady which she cuts him off and dodges the question completely. She then gives Billy tea which he took a sip off. The tea tasted and smelled like bitter almonds....
The story ends there for us to figure out. However the implied resolution is that the bitter almond smell was Cyanide and Billy dies from the poison. Billy is then going to get stuffed like the animals and the other two guests.
