- The Israelites lived in slavery in the land of Egypt for over 400 years. The Pharaoh was concerned that the Israelite population grew to numerous levels, and he oppressed them with forced labour to build Pithom and Ramses as sites for the Pharaoh.
- Get back to work!
- At Horeb, the mountain of god the lord appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush. He instructed Moses to free the Israelites from slavery and to lead them on a journey to the promised land.
- So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.
- Moses returned to Egypt and asked Pharaoh to free the Israelites from slavery and allowed them to leave Egypt.
- LET MY PEOPLE GO!
- Who is the lord, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the lord and I will not let Israel go.
- God sent these 9 plagues to Egypt because the Pharaoh did not listen
- When Pharaoh refused to free the Israelites, the lord and Moses unleashed nine deadly plagues. The plague of Blood, the plague of Frogs, plague of Gnats, the plague of Flies, the plague of livestock, the plague of Boils, the plague of Hail, the plague of Locust and the plague of darkness.
- The tenth and final plague god sent was the plague of the firstborn. This plague would kill the firstborn son of every Egyptian, including Pharoah
- The blood on the doorpost will be a sign to mark the house in which you live. When I see the blood, I will pass over you and not harm you.
- During the night, Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and instructed the Israelites to leave of Egypt as his son was killed by the plague.

- The first sign god showed the Israelites on their exodus from Egypt was the parting of the red sea, which saved the Israelites from being killed by the Egyptian army.

- When the Israelites arrived at the desert of Shur, everyone had been without water for three days, and they had asked the lord for help. The lord threw a piece of wood into the water, which made the water fit to drink.
- The lord made the water drinkable!
- We are thirsty, please help us, lord.
- After leaving the desert of Shur, the Israelites arrived in the oasis of Elim. The people were starving, and they asked the lord to help feed them. The lord made it rain so all the Israelites could eat.
- The lord has made it rain bread!
- Thank you lord!
- On the first day of the third month after the Israelites left Egypt they arrived at the desert of Sani.
- I am going to come down in a dense cloud so that the people will hear me speaking with you and always put their trust in you.
- The lord has given the Israelites the covent in which they will follow gods law.
