Storyboard Text
- Step 1 Ordinary World: Beowulf is at his home in Geatland. He is Higlac's thane and is the son of Ecgtheow.
- Step 5 Crossing the Threshold: Beowulf sets sail to Denmark with his men and when he arrives he meets Hrothgar.
- Step 2 Call to adventure: Beowulf hears of the attacks that have been happening at the hall of Herot by the evil monster Grendel and decides to go and help them.
- Step 3 The Refusal of the Call: Beowulf doesn't refuse the call because he's an epic hero.
- Step 6 Tests, Allies and Enemies: Beowulf encounters Grendel ready for a fight but Grendel underestimated Beowulf and wasn't as strong as him resulting in Beowulf killing Grendel.
- "I shall not refuse a call for help, I seek the glory and fame of killing this vile beast!"
- Step 4 Meeting the mentor: Beowulf's mentors are Higlac and his father, they give him guidance when he most needs it.
