The central theme of this song is that people are different, and everyone's love language varies, you cannot force something and expect a good outcome, learn to let go.

Frank had the power within himself to explain to his partner that they wanted different things, Frank wanted a fast relationship with adventure, but his partner preferred to take things slow and have a basic relationship. They had opposing viewpoints and Frank took power and came to the truth of their relationship.
- A theme expressed in White Ferrari is nostalgia. Throughout the song, Ocean reflects on his relationship and explains to his partner that they have contrasting expectations for each other and for the relationship. Frank described that he has no hard feelings for them and unconditional love, but he yearns and desires more for himself. They have seen each other at their most vulnerable, and Ocean felt as if he was in a prison of the mind. They could have gone so many places, yet he felt stuck with them.
