- In an unspecific place in an American City/Town at bus stop next to a doughnut shop. The protagonist is the girl alone at the bench, she is waiting for her boyfriend to arrive."...cheerleading team..." from this we know the setting is in USA since cheerleading is natural in USA.
- Climax
- The redhead girl looks like one of the girls that use to took the protagonist's boyfriend, Raheem, and the girls that are with her laughs at the protagonist when she trips and runs at them. They proceed to run to the other side of the road."...I trip over my own two feet...going for the one with the red hair... she and her friends run to the other side of the street..."
- Falling Action
- The antagonist, the protagonist's boyfriend, Raheem arrives and sweet talks his girlfriend but eyes at the other girls along the way. He is very abusive to his girlfriend and expects her to do what he says. The protagonist does everything for her boyfriend, skips classes to be with him."... I skip class everyday so me and you can ride to school together..."."...He hooks his thumb through my...earing and pulls down hard..." this shows that her boyfriend is abusive.
- Resolution
- The protagonist get stuck on the bus and Raheem is a cheat so he is with the red headed good girl when his girlfriend is gone."...the redhead on the corner with Raheem...Arms wrapped around her neck...his...lips pressed tight to hers..." this shows that Raheem is a cheat and he doesn't care about what his girlfriend feels he just cares about himself.
- The protagonist wanted to beat the red head up but then she thought about how her boyfriend would react. "...Raheem don't never stay gone too long...if I go after her...Raheem's gonna be mad at me..." this shows that Raheem very manipulative.
- The protagonist decides to just ignore this incident and just go on since she only wants to be with Raheen. She even doesn't care about her mental state because she is head over heels being with Raheem."...But if I act like I ain't seen nothin, he'll be by my place... and act like I ain't seen nothing at all." this shows that the protagonist is manipulated by Raheem and she is not aware of her mental state.
