  •  This book is all about a boy named Conor who lives with his mom and Grandma. Every 12:07, A monster, comes to meet him. This monster lives as a yew tree right outside. He wants to help Conor, to admit something, he cannot admit. This book won 2 awards for its writing and illustrations.
  • Middle of the book
  • The boy with the Blue shirt is Connor, and the black shadow object is the monster (he has no name).
  • End of the Book
  •  In the beginning of the book, the monster tells him a real story about a Witch queen and a Prince. When a king lost his sons and his queen, he only had a grandson who was 5 years old. As time went on, he got remarried, and died. Now the prince is 18, and him and the queen are fighting over the throne.
  • Moral / Lesson
  •  The monster comes back with another true story, but this time at school, 12:07. He tells of a person who was invisible to the people's attention. Whenever he tries to talk to anyone, they simply ignore him. Then he was so angry he did nasty things to everyone just to get attention.
  • The man wasn't invisible, just not liked.
  • Leave me alone!!
  •  The monster came back with the last story. It talks about a cruel healer and a rich parson with some pride. The parson refused to the healer by not giving the yew tree. Then when a nasty Disease affected his daughters, he lost his pride and begged. Then it was Conner's story. Then after nightmares, he finally gives in.
