Vincent and his brother did an endurance race in the water. For the first time, Vincent bet his brother. However, his brother fainted and Vincent took him back to the shore. This creates pride since we are proud of Vincent and it shows the power and determination of Vincent. It is like he can do anything even thought he isn't made to do so.

Vincentrips the family picture and takes his head with him. In the back we see his brother shocked about what he just did. By doing that, Ethan erased his presence from the family life. This creates sadness among the watcher since Vincent is now alone and lonely. The watcher also understand all the determination of Vincent since he is ready to sacrifice his family for his dreams.

We can see Ethan taking the picture and putting it in his pocket. He then sees his brother and stares at him without saying anything. Here, sadness is created since it is the last time they see themselves and it is there goodbye.
