- We can use this to call the others. Have a meeting. They'll come when they hear us-
- The plane was attacked so now it has had a crash. The boys are stranded on an island and Piggy and Ralph have found each other, so now they are looking for others.

- Sam, Eric, Sam, Eric
- Ralph and Piggy are swimming and Piggy just keeps bringing up how he can't do anything because of his aunties strict rules.
- Chapter 1- The Sound of the Shell
- Piggy finds a conch on the beach but Ralph snatches it from him. Piggy suggests blowing into the conch to call all the other boys for a meeting.
- Signs of life were now visible on the beach, There were brown, fair, black, chestnut, sandy and mouse- coloured heads. Now, on the beach was a crowd of people.
