- April 9, 1917 at 5:30am was when the battle of Vimy Ridge began, Canada came out of their trench and started moving towards the Germans.
- The soldiers used a new strategy called "creeping barrage" this was when the soldiers fired bombs then went out after to get closer to the other trench.
- After the Canadian success at Vimy Ridge everyone was so happy because this is where Canada proved themselves and showed how they could fight and win.
- Since Canada had such a great success at Vimy Ridge they had the incredible opportunity to sign the Treaty of Versailles.
