- On February 22/23 there was a battle called "Battle of Angostura". This war was between the USA and Mexico. Zachary Taylor and his men invaded northeastern Mexico. In which resulted there to be a way.
- August 27, 1859
- In 1848, there was a revolution. They were about republican revolts against European monarchies, beginning in Sicily, etc. However, they all ended in failure, repression, and were followed by widespread disillusionment among liberbals.
- May 20, 1873
- On September 9th of 1850 California became the 31st state of the USA.
- March 31, 1889
- On August 27, 1859, Edwin Drake was the first person to create an oil well. This oil well is about 69.5 feet deep. Its name is "Drake Well' and you can spot it along the banks of Oil Creek.
- On May 20, 1873 Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis invented the first pair of blue jeans. They were originally created as practical work. The color of the jeans was so it can hide the dirt when worn by miners and laborers.
- The Eiffel tower was created on March 31, 1889. Gustave Eiffel built the Eiffel tower because it was to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution,
