- Jacob Portman is a 16-year-old boy living in Florida. When Jacob was little, his grandfather (Abe) would tell him stories about his life at his age. Jacob found many of these stories intriguing as well as strange. He would talk about a bird protecting children with peculiar abilities. Much later, Abe passed away by way of mysterious monsters. Jacob decided to travel to an island called Cairnholm where he longed to find Mrs. Peregrine and the Peculiar Children.

- THE ORPHANAGE IS DESTROYED!!
- After Jacob scavenged the island, he had found Ms. Peregrines house, but it seemed abandoned and bombed. On his way back from the home, Jacob had spotted a girl and he ran after her. She led him to a cairn and when he came out, he was in SEPTEMBER 3RD, 1940! In the journey he found Mrs. Peregrine and other peculiars, including a girl named Emma. He falls in love with her and goes to certain extents just for her. (Dr. Golan had followed Jacob to the island to use Mrs. Peregrine for his own devious plans)
- Resolution
- Dr. Golan and the hallowgwasts kidnapped Mrs. Peregrine and Mrs. Avocet. Jacob, Emma, Milard, and Bronwyn were chased by hallogwasts. Dr. Golan abducted Mrs. Peregrine and Mrs. Avocet and took them out on a boat to get to the lighthouse. Jacob, Emma, Milard, and Bronwyn followed Dr. Golan, but Milard was shot. Bronwyn and Milard stayed behind and Emma and Jacob chased after Golan. Jacob shot Dr. Golan and Emma rescued Mrs. Peregrine.
- Even after the Peculiars were able to save Ms. Peregrine, Ms. Avocet was taken away by the wights. They had to return to the orphanage and when they did, they found that it had been destroyed. They have to track down the wights and figure out how to get Ms. Peregrine back into her original human form.
- We need to get Ms. Peregrine back to human form! Then she can help us.
- Jacob decides to follow his friends making the decision of not returning home. He says goodbye to his father in the present and joins his new friends as they set sail into the UNKNOWN. They search for any kind of help they can get to save the other Peculiars.
