- Welcome to Taino life.
- As you can see, we live in a warm tropical place.
- Here, we believe that nobody should ever have an empty stomach, so we make sure that everybody gets fed. In order to do this, even the highest ranking people help get food, either by working in the gardens, hunting, or fishing, along with everyone else.
- Ugh, I hate using spears... I wonder where someone put those suction fish... They''re so much easier to catch prey with...
- Sometimes, we the living, preform ceremonies to greet our ancestors, or to thank natural forces and the spirits behind each of our foods. And no matter what, we always respect our food sources like the main animals that we slaughter.
- Now, you might be wondering about this canoe that you probably saw during the other parts of the tour.
- Well, you saw it a lot, because that was what I used to get around to other places. You see, thanks to all the water that we live nearby, canoes are one of our most used transportation system, and one of our most accomplished innovation, because we have made canoes that can fit over 100 people!
- Another one of our great inventions, are the hammocks that we built.
- Fun Random fact: Where we live is so warm, that we actually don't wear clothes! We're simply wearing them right now, because we, being as generous as we are, felt that you might feel uncomfortable if we didn't.
