- As Prospero watched his brother’s ship on the horizon, he realised that now was his change for revenge. Pointing his magic staff to the heavens, he released a scorching flash of lightning.
- Explanation of the past - betrayal
- A long long time ago, I was once the duke of Milan but……..
- “Oh no! The poor people on that boat. They would die out there! What should we do papa! We need to help them! We must help them.” Miranda said frantically.
- Assassination attempt (ends in failure )
- There…..there was a…a…a….a herd of lions!
- Don’t worry honey, it’s alright. Just stay calm. My magic powers make sure that they are safe. I will explain.
- Drunk Dudes
- Prospero explains to Miranda of their past. Prospero was once the duke of Milan but was betrayed by his own brother and Anlonso(the king of Naples ) who sent them away on a rotten carcass of a boat.
- Sebastian and Antonio plot to kill King Alonso in order for Sebastian to become king. They draw their swords towards the king whilst they were sleeping but Ariel witness everything and wakes the king up. *awkward silence* they try to explain themselves by saying their were a herd of lions.
- Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo are drunk. Stephano first feeds wine into Caliban’s mouth and then Trinculo’s. Trinculo recognises Stephano and the two dance about joyfully. Caliban promises to show them all the best parts of the island and promises to serve them. Ironically he then sings about his freedom from Prospero.
