Hi my name is Victoria and I am with my teacher Mr.Despres and today we are going to explore the digestive system

We are first going to start off at the mouth which is where the process starts and where all the chewing and breaking down of food takes place.

I am going to push her down the esophagus.

After getting myself out of the esophagus we are now at the stomach which has acids that break the food down into Chyme 

Wait now let me try, Did you know that in an average size of an adult´s stomach the stomach can fit 2 liters of fluid or solid.

Now we are at the Small and Large intestine. The job of the small intestine is to chemically digest all of the things that aren´t broken down yet

After the Chyme goes through the small intestine it goes to the large intestine. The job of the large intestine is to absorbs and maintain all the water the digestive system used.

Does that mean after the digestive system has happened we have to use the bathroom!

We are back at the classroom now after our long adventure through the digestive system. We had so much fun!
