Storyboard Text
- King Minos trapped Daedalus and his son Icarus in a high tower facing the empty ocean on an island. no boats were allowed to go to the island without being searched.
- Daedalus had saw birds flying by, so he had the idea to make wings to escape. He made a skeleton of a bird wing out of wax, and added feathers that he had collected on the island from the birds.
- Daedalus tested the wings out and they worked, so he made another pair for his son. Daedalus warned his son that if he went too low his wings the fog and spey would fog up his wings, and if he went too high the sun would melt the wax.
- Icarus flew too high and the wax from the wings started to melt and the feathers started to fall of. Icarus tried to call out for his father but his head was submerged i the water.
- Daedalus quickly flew down to save Icarus but it was too late. Daedalus picked up his son out of the water and and flew to a nearby island.
- Daedalus buried icarus on the island that he flew to and named it Icaria after him. after that he arrived safely in sicily, he built a temple to Apollo and hung up his wings as an offering to god.
