- Fire First
- Well looks like you got your fire are you happy?!
- you all ran up here like a bunch of kids!
- We must keep the fire going if we want to get rescued
- A group of boys land on an island after their plane crashes. Two of the boys Piggy and Ralph find each other and although Piggy is nervous about how to get home Ralph is just enjoying being away from grownups. The dynamic right away is Piggy being the sensible one and Ralph being lighter, Ralph even makes fun of Piggy for being overweight, and having specs and asthma. Piggy wins Ralph over with his smart thinking and tells him that they need to meet up with other boys. Agreeing, Ralph finds a conch and blows in it to alert others of the island.

- I look like a stranger!
- After a whole group of boys emerged from the woods they all gathered in assembly. There were boys from young ages like 6 to old like Ralph at age 12. They all sat until a boy named Jack Merridew arrived with a group of boys following him, the choir. It was proposed that they name a chief and Jack being ignorant suggested himself, but the boys had other ideas.
- There Was a Ship
- You let the fire go out
- We were hunting a pig?
- Ralph decided as chief that they needed to make a fire. The fire would give off smoke and hopefully if a boat passed then they would see the signal and rescue them. All the boys, excited, ran up the mountain to go make fire. After they made the fire they needed to light it, so they used Piggy's specs with a ray of sun. It was decided then that the fire would never go out and boys would take turns tending to it. They then realised that they had started a forest fire and Piggy got mad about how immature the other boys were acting when they made the fire.
- The Beast?
- Jack decides one day that the reason why pigs run away from him is not because they smell him but they see him. This prompts him to put natural clay on his face as some sort of mask. The mask makes Jack feel powerful, it covers his insecurities and makes him feel like a new him. Gathering up his new found power he decides to go hunting.

- Ralph was down with a group of the boys at the beach when suddenly he caught a glimpse of something on the horizon of the ocean, a ship. He turned his head to the mountain and there was no smoke, he took off running to go light it as a signal for the ship. He made his way to the top and saw Jacks hunting group come back with a pig. He became angry and started yelling at Jack and the hunters for leaving the fire and telling i'm that there was a ship.
- There was a ship.
- Ralph, still angry about the hunters leaving the fire, decided to call an assembly. He talked about every problem on the island from not enough drinking water to people scaring each other with stories. This sparked conversation about a scary beast that lives on the island. There were people who believed it not to be real like Ralph and Piggy. And others who thought it exists like Jack, younger boys, and a kind boy named Simon. This turns into a chaotic argument and pushes Ralph into questioning his leadership with Simon and Piggy reassuring him that he is the best chief.
