  • Speaker: In 2015 there was a Bike Master Plan created by Texas AM University. However, that plan is our opinion is no longer effective. 7 years has passed since that plan, and now there are more than just bikes on campus.
  • Speaker: There are thousands of people of campus everyday. Some walk, others ride bicycles, scooters, one-wheels, roller blades, or skate boards. There are not enough designated bike lanes for the wheels.
  • Speaker: As you can see on this street there is not a designated bike lane. This absence of this lane causes confusion. This confusion may cause traffic to back up, or at worst a crash.
  • Speaker: Due to the fact that there are not enough bike lanes, people tend to ride on sidewalks. Many sidewalks are not wide enough to fit a cyclist and pedestrians. This results in bikes running into people.
  • Speaker: Scenarios like these occur daily throughout campus. For the safety of all students and personnel on campus, it is necessary for the outdated plan for bicycles to be updated to fit our growing campus population.
