  • David was the youngest of all his eight other siblings, he took care of his sheep as a Shephard as three of his brothers were in a war fighting against the Philistines. David has watched as God protected his sheep's from lions to bears.
  • God bless you! Take my sword and armor
  • David, trusting that God would keep him safe went to King Saul and volunteered to be the one to kill Goliath. David trusted that God would protect him and guide him in this endavour. King Saul reluctantly agreed. The King took his own armor and sword and gave it to David so that he could fight Goliath.

  • Meanwhile, on the battlefield, a Philistine giant named Goliath appeared and would challenge any one of the Israelites to fight him. Goliath would constantly mock the Israelites and repeated this challenge daily for forty days and every day the Israelite army fled in fear.

  • David could barely walk the heavy armor given by the King, so he went to the riverbed and picked up five smooth stones.

  • One day, David's father sent him to go take some provisions to his brothers on the battlefield. David then learned of the Phillistine Giant, Goliath, who would humiliate his people and God. This angered David and asked what would be done for the man who kills Goliath. He then volunteered to fight Goliath but was quickly dismissed by his brothers and was told to go back home.
  • This very day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head.
  • David then took his slingshot and went out to challenge Goliath. David is mocked by Goliath about his weapon and is enraged cursing David's God, but David tells him that he came with the almighty God and will strike him down. David slings a rock at Goliath and hits him right in the forehead. The rock pierces through the big giants head and Goliath falls to the ground. Then David takes his sword and cuts Goliath's head off. After the victory for Saul's army, the philistine army fled and David became a great hero.
