- Moses! Moses!
- Here I am
- I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
- Moses led the flock beyond the wilderness, and came to the mountain of God.
- I will send you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.
- In Horeb, the mountain of God, Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush. Moses looked at the bush, the bush was blazing and yet it was not consumed.
- Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?
- God introduced himself from the bush, and Moses his face for he was afraid to look at God.
- I will be with you; and this shall be the sign for you that it is I who sent you.
- God explained how his people in Egypt are suffering and crying due to their taskmasters. That he heard their cries and have seen how Egyptians oppress them. God told Mosses, how he wants him to go to Pharaoh to bring his people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.
- Moses questioned God if he was the right one to do this job.
- God reassured Moses that he will be with him and told him to pick up his shaft for that is the sign that he will be with him. God also told him that once he has brought the people out of Egypt, that he shall come back to Horeb and worship God.
