  • An identity theft is someone who steals your personal information and can uses it damage your finances and your reputation.
  • So what exactly is an Identity Theft?
  • That doesn't sound good. How do I know if someone is trying to steal my identity? 
  • There are many of warning signs such as mistakes on your bank accounts, bills going missing, calls from debt collectors, and purchases that you didn't make.
  • How do I reduce the risk of getting my identity stolen?
  • You can reduce your risk by taking care of your personal information, look for charges you didn't make, shred sensitive documents, and keep important papers secure.
  • What would I have to do if my identity ends up getting stolen?
  • First of all, you need to act fast. You need to place a initial fraud alert on your credit report, contact credit companies and order your credit reports, create an identity theft report, and contact the FTC.
