Storyboard Text

  • Bullying is never okay. If you are ever in a situation where you are being bullied, tell a trusted adult and stand up for yourself.
  • Being gay or part of the LGBTQ+ community does not give a reason for anyone to bully someone else.
  • If you don't anything nice to say, go away. Nobody here is bothering you, so leave.
  • Look who it is!
  • Leave us alone, bullies.
  • My group has never done anything! You don't have any right to bully and make fun of us!
  • The next week, at the assembly, there was a speaker who came up, speaking about LGBTQ+ representation and bullying. Kaze knew this was the work of Ms. Barek.
  • You're amazing!
  • Kaze, how'd you do that!?
  • Kaze and his friend group, at lunch are again approached by bullies. Kaze has had enough and is now confident enough to speak on behalf of himself and his friends.
  • We're still wondering, how did you get that confidience?
  • I wasn't going to let any bullies come near my friends!
  • Kaze, following the suggestions of the guest speaker and Kids Helpline counselor, tells his group's bullies that they need to leave them alone, since they haven't done anything to them.
  • Haha!
  • You're so funny Kaze, haha!
  • My singing was so bad! It was like lala..!!
  • After Kaze stopped the bullies, the rest of his friend group was shocked at his boost of confidence in which he was able to stand up for himself and others when things were wrong.
  • Kaze's new friend group grows fond of Kaze and his ability to stand up for them when bullies do approach, now not as often.
  • To be honest, I don't know. I just realised that, if they're human and they can talk to me without being scared like that, then I can do the same thing.
  • As time goes on, bullies still do exist in Kaze's world, however, Kaze and his new, accepting friends are always ready to take them on.
