King Henry ll and Thomas Becket were good friends and but as being one of his closest diciples he Henry made Becket the Arch Bishop of Canterbury. After a while Thomas became serious towards his job and stuck to religion, this however annoyed Henry and they got into an argument.
Henry said something that was so bad that Becket ended up fleeing the country to go and live in France for six years!
After six years Thomas returns back to England and Henry tries to make an agreement with Becket whilst trying to work with him again but Henry becomes obnoxious and Becket didn't like it do they ended up disagreeing and Becket fires all of Henry's Bishops.
Henry was extremely annoyed with Becket and in his anger said he wanted to get rid of him which he didn't actually mean.
After overhearing there king four knights went out and executed Thomas Becket which Henry did not want.
