  • Scene 1
  • It's only once a year, sir.
  • Still you expect me to pay a day's wage for a day of no work.
  • Scene 2
  • Jacob...Don't leave me!...Jacob! Jacob!
  • Look for that, for your own sake you remember what has passed between us.
  • Scene 3
  • No...no, not all...there was one...Yes...reading...poor boy.
  • What, I wonder?
  • Scrooge declines his nephew's invite to Christmas dinner. A gentleman visitor stops by to ask for donations for the poor. Scrooge refuses to donate and says they should die. He also lets his worker, Cratchit have off for Christmas after he convinced him.
  • Scene 4
  • It is at the home of your nephew...
  • Scrooge does not tip his cook and charwoman for their work. Marley comes to warn Scrooge about what will happen to him if he continues to be greedy and tells him about the spirits. Scrooge tries to go to bed but can't sleep.
  • Scene 5
  • The first spirit comes to visit Scrooge. Scrooge has flashbacks of Christmas when he was a child and how he hated it. He also remembers sweetheart and how he broke up with her because she didn't have enough money.
  • Scene 6
  • The second spirit comes to visit Scrooge. He says that the Christmas gift is at Fred's house. Mrs. Cratchit tells Mr. Cratchit how much she hates Scrooge and Tiny Tim is very sick.
  • No!
  • The third spirit visits Scrooge. Scrooge sees the cook and charwoman rob him but can't do anything about it. Tiny Tim dies.
  • I cannot. You cannot tell me that I must watch them and do nothing,
  • Scrooge became happy and thankful. He donated to the gentleman visitor for the poor people. He also went to Fred's to celebrate Christmas and have dinner.
