It's time to go out. Hopefully, everything goes alright.
Sanaz suddenly lowering her head, shoulders bent down a bit, not wanting to attract any attention. Seeing two militia patrolling down the streets, she started to look at herself, making sure she's following all the correct rules.
Militia: That lady is fine
I think everything is in place. Is it? Is my veil on correctly? They won't see my painted nails right?
Walking to here, two slogans are on the wall. Warning women and men about protecting their veils, protecting their eyes, face.
"MEN WHO WEAR TIES ARE U.S. LACKEYS. VEILING IS A WOMAN'S PROTECTION". -Khomeini & Party of God
MY SISTER, GUARD YOUR VEIL. MY BROTHER, GUARD YOUR EYES.
Why cam't we have the rights to sit in the front on the bus?
Why do we women all have to sit in the back? Us women can do just as much men can do.
Why did the rule change from women can have equal or even similar rights to men?
What did we do wrong? Why does my mother's generation have more freedom then we do?
I wonder how it felt when there wasn't segregation? Men and women have the same right.
Why can't I have my own freedom without these militia watching all of us all the time?
No matter where Sanaz go or any other women, men will always be talking about them. How lowly they are, how they don't deserve freedom, shouldn't deserve power, and much more.
Do you think women should have the rights as us men do?
Why should they? Women are a lower class than us. Less powerful, they shouldn't.
Aren't we all the same? men and women equal? Why do everyone have to look so lowly on us women?
