Storyboard Text

  • "I'm not eating. I want to see Billy White. I want life to be like always. I want to go home"
  • "Okay, then don't eat. Go to bed Jamie."
  • Use manners miss.
  • "I don't know that. Leave me alone."
  • "Don't leave Billy, Don't leave me here. I want to go home."
  • "Sorry."
  • World War 2 had just started and Ada and Jamie have to leave their family, friends, and life at the lane to a place in the Kent. On the first day, Jamie gets bullied at school because they never went to school. Jamie cries when he gets home, upset that he had to leave his house and old life. This connects to the social issue because both Ada and Jamie have nothing from their old life and no one knows or cares about them.
  • In at the lane where Ada and Jamie lived, the was no school so Jamie and Ada didn't know multiple words and it confused them when someone would say something they didn't know. This connects to the social issue because at home life was easier and more simple than at Kent. Ada and Jamie become confused and angry often when someone says something that doesn't make sense.
  • BIlly White, Jamie only friend, the only kid Jamie has been able to see and play with is leaving to go back to the lane. This connects to the social issue because Billy was Jamie only connection to home so, Jamie has nothing to remind him of home. Jamie was already having a hard time adapting to the new life, and seeing his only friend leave made him extremely depressed.
