- Party at my crib Friday night, be there
- Ethan, you also get invited to Jan the Man's party?
- Later at Lunch...
- I'm kinda nervous about going...
- Yeah, Cole and Alex got invites too. We should all go together Friday night!
- We both know his parties have a reputation for getting wild. Last year, a bunch of kids got into a car accident after smoking marijuana at one of his parties
- What are you nervous about? It'll be fun! Plus, it's no simple feat getting invited to one of his parties.
- Hmm, let me come up with 3 options. Should I go to the party?
- My last option is to just go the party and let loose, whether I smoke and drink or not. The pro is I can have fun and not worry too much about anything. But the cons include my parents getting disappointed and smoking is obviously bad for me, even more so at my age
- I could stay home. The pro being I'd be safe. The con is I won't get to hang out with them and they might tease me a little.
- I could go to the party and not smoke. A pro is that I'd have fun with my friends. The con is I might get peer pressured into smoking.
- AFTER SCHOOL...
- What do I do? I really wanna hang out with my friends and have fun with them. On the other hand, smoking can really hurt my lungs and impact my health in so many ways. I don't want to get addicted. Plus, I don't know what I would do if my parents ever saw me do something like that. Would my friends get mad or make fun of me if I go and don't smoke?
- Alright, I've made up my mind. I won't go. It's better to be safe rather than sorry. I don't want any regrets and I"m not risking the possibility of someone peer-pressuring me into something I'm not comfortable with.
- I'll just text the others and tell them I'm not coming. I know my friends are capable of respecting my decision without asking questions
