Odysseus's journey. Books 1-9. He starts on an island with Calypso. Athena later makes Zeus set him free . HE begins his journey home when Poseidon. He washes ashore on an island and tells the people his story of how he ended up with Calypso.

Odysseus was a very powerful man who was very brave. He was the kind of Ithaca. He does brag to Cyclops that he is "Odysseus the son of Laertes. HE begins in his home land Ithaca where he later will leave for way in Troy.

Odysseus thinks he is welcomed no matter where he is. He believed hat it was not big deal that he eat their food. "We beached there, and I told the crew to stand by and keep watching over the ship."

Odysseus is never completelyright in this situation. He stole food from the Cyclops and then stabbed him in the eye. Odysseus thought that all people should welcome them no matter where they are. "We Cyclops care not a whistle for your thundering Zeus." -Holmer 1116

Cyclops cures originally"Nohbody" but Odysseus gets cocky and tells them who he is, where he lives, and who his parents and family are. Odysseus sails away on his little boat away from the island of Cyclops. And Cyclops pray to Poseidonto curse Odysseus and to never return home.
