- In 907 BCE king David was born, during his youth he worked as a Shepard as-well as played the harp.
- When David was a child, Saul was king. Due to Saul's depression David played the harp to him in hope that it would help.

- After Sauls death many Israelites volunteered David to be King due to his demonstration of confidence during his battle with Goliath

- David proceeds to take over Jerusalem, defeating many tribes with his army of many men and horses
- In Davids 40 year reign he becomes one of the most powerful kings of Israel and builds a very strong and powerful army
- King David lived a joyful life with what is estimated to be 20 kids and 8 wives. It is believed that David wrote the book of Pslams and songs of praise to worship God.
- The bible describes David as hardworking, courageous, strong and intelligent.
- Whilst David was a very powerful King he unfortunately died in Jerusalem after a 40 year reign. It is believed that David was around the age of 70 when he passed and his son Solomon later became King.
