- Anne enters the room with a lampshade on her head and presents in her arms― ready to hand them out.
- She handed Margot her present first, it is a crossword puzzle book to write her "cross words" in when she is frustrated.
- It's wonderful, Anne. Thank you. You'd never know it wasn't new.
- Oh, Anneke!
- It's hair shampoo. I took all the odds and ends of soap and mixed them with the last of my toilet water.
- Pim found some old pipe tobacco which they used to craft some cigarettes. This was the perfect gift because Mr. Van Daan was desperate for some cigarettes.
- Yours, Mr. Van Daan, is really something...something you want more than anything.
- Cigarettes!
- Light it, Putti! Light it.
- Anne's gifts are partly apologies but her apology to her mom is especially important because it is to make up for how she treated her after her nightmare.
- I.O.U.
- "Here's an I.O.U that I promise to pay. Ten hours of doing whatever you say. Signed, Anne Frank."
- For Pim.
- Anneke... I wasn't supposed to have a present!
- Pim helped Anne prepare all the gifts. He is very selfless so he didn't particularly expect a gift. This shows Anne's gratefulness for him.
