- As the fighting gets worse and worse, Prince Escalus finally arrives threatening death to any person of house Capulet or house Montague who fight in Verona's streets again
- Benvolio confronts Romeo about why he is so sad, Romeo confides to Benvolio that he is sad because a girl he loves doesn't love him back
