- At the begginging of the book the kids get dropped out of a plane, landing on a island and living there
- After chapter 1 ralph and piggy find a conch shell, they eventually use this shell to call for the others.
- after they call for others what looks like a cult approaches them in full black. they look scary but mean no harm
- A little after they have to paths to follow,(mentally) and these paths are food and shelter
- jack goes on to be a hunter...
- While piggy focuses on shelter
