- the interior designer is here! welcome! we got the house a few months ago and need some help with decorating.
- the angle of elevation from the floor to the top of the window is 57 degrees. the side from the top to the center of the room is 14ft. this would be opposite over hypotenuse so sine. you do sin 57 x/14, plug it in it's 14sin57 which gives you 11.7. the plant shouldnt go over 11ft!

- this will be the living room. i plan on putting a plant here but i dont want it to reach above the window. how high is the top of the window?
- this is my sister and i's bonus room. we were thinking about getting a new tv so it's my job to figure out the measurements. i already know the height is 58 in and the angle is 23. can you help me with the width?

- to find the width you'd need to use tangent. its opposite over adjacent so tan 23 58/x, resulting in 58/tan(23) which gives us 136.6. the width of the tv should be no more than 136 inches!
- the angle of elevation from the floor to the wall is 48 degrees, and the hypotenuse is 20ft. if we wanna know how far out the bed can go we would do adjacent over hypotenuse which is cosine. its cos48 x/20 so plug in 20cos48. that gives you 13.4 so the bed shouldnt go over 13 ft!
