- Act 2 Scene 1
- It is not just to kill Caesar.
- Flavius and Marullus are scolding the villagers for celebrating Caesar. They take down the decorations on Caesar's statues. This is important to the plot sequence because it introduces the characters and part of the problem.
- Act 2 Scene 2
- While going to the capital Casca sees some strange things. He sees the 3 omens which are an owl shrieking, a slave whose hand is on fire, and a lion on the capitol steps. This is important to the plot sequence because it shows the craziness that will happen if Caesar becomes king.
- Act 2 Scene 3
- Brutus is awake at night and having a dilemma about Caesar. He thinks that killing Caesar is not just and he needs a reason to kill him. This is important to the plot sequence because the main character is going through an internal struggle.
- Act 2 Scene 4
- Calpurnia has a dream in which Caesar is murdered. Her dream is that Caesar has 100 holes that leak blood and the villagers are bathing in his blood. She prevents Caesar from going out. This is important to the plot sequence because it foreshadows what will happen to Caesar.
- The mighty Caesar fears nothing!
- You will not go out today!!!
- Artemdorius writes a letter to Caesar warning Caesar to not trust the conspirators. He knows that they want to kill him. He tries to give the letter to Caesar but Caesar ignores it. This is important to the plot sequence because it is a warning to Caesar to be safe.
- Caesar please read my letter!
- The good of Rome is first!
- Portia sends Lucius to the capital to check on Caesar. She is very worried and thinks something bad will happen to him. This is important to the plot sequence because it shows that it is too late to save Caesar.
