- Introducing the Characters:
- Audra meets Ben and Milda:
- Follow me!
- When the Hessians broke in to Audra's house and take her parents she starts to run and does not stop until she finds somewhere safe. She learns being seen with a book where she lives can get her killed! She has been on a chase to find her family and stay alive.
- The Seceret Library:
- Wow there are so many books!
- BOOM!!!!
- Once Audra finds her way out of the forest with some help with someone named Lukas they find a house where someone named Milda helps Audra find where she should go. Milda has a seceret library in her basment and if someone finds out about it she could be in big trouble.
- The Break-in:
- On No
- Milda tells them they must come in, she did not want them to get caught. At the house they meet Ben near the forest in the back of the house. They get told about the library and find out about what could happen if they told people there were books in the house.
- The Search:
- While Milda was showing them the seceret library they heard a noise coming from upstairs. Audra could tell that Milda was worried. Audra thought maybe the officer followed her!
- Milda ran upstairs like her life depended on it, and it did. If the officers found her they would take her away, but if they found her with all those book they would kill her! Milda ran down to tell everyone to hide. She said "I will take care of the officers, don't expect me to come back down."
- Officers were out in town everyday. They made sure everyone had no books with them or in sight. People were scared to leave the house and scared they would barge in the house to search. Audra had many books with her but she was not afraid she had got caught many time before. The only thing she could do to find her parents is keep going!
